The expanded and renovated Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum at Cal State University Long Beach opened with a VIP party. Guests explored the expanded gallery space and a new entry zone, which creates a stronger interface between the Museum, students and the broader community, while improving operational flexibility and museum security. The new lobby, along with its stronger connection to the outdoor plaza, also provides an array of indoor/outdoor opportunities for art exhibition and Museum events. Coupled with the recently completed renovations to the Horn Center, the north and south courtyards have been renovated for new seated areas and a sculpture garden. Renovations to the Horn Center include ten new classrooms and two lecture halls along with upgraded infrastructure and technology.
