Pfeiffer celebrates 15 years since it evolved from Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates (HHPA). Pfeiffer was initially HHPA's Los Angeles outpost, established when work commenced on the Los Angeles Central Library Expansion and Renovation in 1983, headed by Norman Pfeiffer. The Los Angeles office supported HHPA’s national practice and by the time the firm devolved into separate practices, the Los Angeles office had established its identity, characterized by the diversity and innovation of its cultural and civic work. Pfeiffer soon established an office in New York City and today practices throughout North America, seeking to make a meaningful contribution to the built environment.
