Ground is broken for Wuxi Symphony Hall Complex

An impressive groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Wuxi Symphony Hall Complex. In attendence were Du Xiaogang, Secretary of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress; Zhao Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Xiang Xuelong, Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC Committee; Jiang Min, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor; Li Qiufeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Propaganda Department; Xu Jie, Executive Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group; Qin Yongxian, Vice Mayor of the Municipal Government; Zhang Lijun, Vice Mayor of the Municipal Government; Chen Shoubin, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; Zhao Beihang, Secretary of the Party General Branch and General Manager of Jiangsu Branch of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau Shanghai Company; Sun Shiguo, Deputy Secretary of the Party General Branch and Executive General Manager; Deputy Manager Gao Nengxiang; and Chief Economist Tian Houcang, among many others. Qin Yongxin presided over the groundbreaking ceremony. The city leaders jointly laid the foundation corner stone for the project, which covers an area of approximately 1 million square feet. Formerly known as the Wuxi Taihu Bay International Cultural Arts Center, when completed it will play a vital role in building a cultural innovation zone around Taihu Lake, making Wuxi an international destination.
